Tanzania is probably our favourite safari destination. It really has everything. You can climb Kilimanjaro, see the great migration of wildebeest cross the Mara river or give birth to their calves on the Southern plains of the Serengeti, dive of the coast of Mafia Island, relax at a white sandy beach in Zanzibar and so much more.. It is also home to the largest (and our favourite) national park of Africa: Ruaha National Park. And one should almost forget that you can visit the chimps at Gombe National Park (where Jane Goodall did her research) or at Mahale National Park and the remote and therefore less travelled Katavi National Park with probably the largest herds of Buffalo and Elephant in Africa. One can visit Tanzania whole year around, with April and May being the 'green season' with the 'longer' rains.
